Salsafilm Dialogfreies Festival

11.–14. November 2026

Weimar

The SaLSa International Dialog-Free Film Festival is a unique cultural event and the only dialog-free film festival in Germany, taking place from November 11 to 14, 2026, in the cultural city of Weimar.

The festival is dedicated to presenting creative short films from around the world that tell their stories without spoken dialogue. By focusing on visual storytelling, SaLSa creates a shared cinematic experience that is accessible to all, regardless of language, nationality, or hearing ability.

SaLSa offers an inclusive platform for children, teenagers, and adults alike. By removing language barriers, the festival enables people from diverse cultural backgrounds to connect, understand one another, and experience films together in a meaningful way.

The selected films communicate through a universal visual language, encouraging intercultural exchange, mutual understanding, and artistic dialogue. SaLSa creates a space where diversity is not a barrier, but a strength, and where cultural differences become a source of connection.

The aim of SaLSa is to open a new perspective on cinema — one where stories can be understood beyond language, and where film becomes a shared experience for everyone.
